This URL was spammed via email or on a message board or classifieds site etc. This particular URL has been identified as heavily spammed. You can help stamp out spam by reporting the spam to the spammers Affiliate. http://alturl.com/ was forwarding to: -3 Visit the ONLY the domain above () and report the spam to the affiliate program manager by letting them know what messeage board or what email contents was used in the spam. Please do not email us asking to be removed! We did not email you and can not have you removed from the spammers list as we we are not in collaboration with them. Our service was abused by this spammer. We have done all that we can in preventing this spammer from continuing (read below). Most likely they had no plans to honor your removal request anyway -- and requesting removal may have only verified that your address was active and led to future spammings. Who's responsible for the email you received? ShortURL is a URL redirection service providing free website addresses. Someone created a redirection URL to redirect to their real URL Just like any internet service provider, spam abuse prevention is an on going effort and not 100% avoidable. We do not tolerate the use of shortURL’s in spam (unsolicited messaging) of any kind. What action have you taken against this spammer? We receive spam reports from individual recipients as well as hub sources so it's quite likely they have been reported to not only us but the webhost of the actual URL address that ShortURL was forwarding to. However, we immediately notify the spammers webhost, their advertisers, email providers, ISP, and anyone else they are affiliated with and continue to follow up on these notifications until we get a response. We file a spam report with spamcop.net and who also notifies all the parties mentioned above and documents the case. If it's not already listed, we file a report with: www.SURBL.org who's list we also
use in preventing known spammers from using our service.
